Principle 8: FLIP


It was my first attempt at the Flip Factor and network marketing was as this stage of life, not for the likes of me. Why? My first flip was off the high-dive at the Wilson, NC Recreation Center. Never forget the sensation of goose bump fear coupled with the daring and not so darling nature of a six-year old.
My intention as my toes clutched the end of the board, with my peers gazing from the sidelines, was to perform a flawless, stunning flip that would turn the head of my swimming coach, for whom I had an intense crush on! Eyes closed, visualizing my six-year young body hurtling backwards, I pushed down and off the board. Backward I went. And 180 degrees short of my goal, I hit the water with a belly buster explosion, caught a snoot full of chlorine that seared my sinuses, and experienced the drowning misery of shame. Oops.

No, network marketing was not in my frame of reference at the time. Nonetheless, today if you have entered the arena of network marketing, you must become well educated on the FLIP FACTOR. Here you are… part of an industry that has the power to radically transform the lives of others. You are now a part of the solution to the economic crisis. You are in a Winning Industry. But you gotta know how to flip.


Google the words economic recovery and you get 3,890,000 hits filled with words such as loss, risk, downturn, bank bailouts…you get the picture. Google Network Marketing and you get 130,000,000 hits. People are starving for good news.

Leave the television off if you're seeking hope and a better tomorrow. With 100 percent accuracy, I can assure you, the hope is not in the nightly news.
To be candid, the reports and comments regarding network marketing do not always tip the scales in great news. Nonetheless, when people are looking for new answers to their financial concerns, network marketing is a valid and tremendous opportunity for times such as these. But, we in network marketing must study the Flip Factor..

What do we mean by FLIP? In this article, when we refer to flip, we refer to:

1. FLIP… Focus on the hope-filled side of difficult and sometimes painful circumstances.
Here's an example. What do most people think of when they have to go to the dentist or orthodontist? Most equate it with PAIN. Dread. Costly procedures. Our friend Taylor Clark, who is excited to be in the

Dental Industry…is able to FLIP. He recently declared: "I get to change someone's life today with a cosmetic porcelain veneer makeover."

2. FLIP… Be willing to TAKE INITIATIVE to help you AND others A stellar example of The Flip Factor was exemplified by Mary Kay Ash. Both a leader and a servant, when Mrs. Ash was asked the secret to her sucess: Iwas middle-aged, had varicose veins and didn't have time to fool around. I wasn't that interested in the dollars-and-cents part of the business. My interest in starting Mary Kay Inc. was to offer women opportunities that didn't exist anywhere else."

3. The Flip Factor involves this. You will take steps today and do what your peers are not willing to do, in order that you can have tomorrow what they cannot."

4. The Flip Factor is the ability to recognize where you are weak and in need of strength. It is mastering the art of seeking quality mentors and following their advice. It requires daily discipline whereby you discard timidity and false beliefs. Where you fling failure mindsets in the trash dump and embrace success as a viable option for you and those you intend to lead. "Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability ito do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning."-- Mahatma Gandhi


So...Let's Flip!
Consider that your network marketing opportunity can turn a Flip in the lives of those downtrodden and in need of hope:

Have you or those you lead experienced downsizing or been laid off? Flip to Network Marketing
¢ Lack of increasing income or opportunity to advance? Not in network marketing. You can have a pay increase any time you want to; it becomes effective as soon as you do.
Have you or any of those you lead been frustrated that the education you paid so dearly for, has not opened doors as you expected. Perhaps you or their child who just graduated is having difficulty finding suitable work. Network Marketing can be just the Flip you or they need at this time.
¢ Worries about retirement or future income? Again, network marketing wins hands down.


You, as a network sales consultant are able to make a proclamation to the world, that flips them from "Oh No…Network Marketing…to "WOW…I see what this can do. Not everyone will flip with you. Many will gaze critically from the sidelines. That's OK.
You, however, must be an stellar example of the "Flip" before people will want to follow you. You must believe in your network marketing company, and in yourself. Then, and only then, others will beg you to teach them the "Flip" principle!

FLIP… A principle, which if pursued and practiced will make the world glad you were born for such a time as this!

As you seek network marketing success; In the words of our friend Emil Turner: "we hope it rains bull yearlings and hay to feed them on."
